I’d forgotten about this.   Back in 2012 Allen Matkins, the law firm I was with for over 27 years, commissioned Liz Hergott to interview me and put together a video the firm shared on their community outreach website.   It had been less than four years since our son, Jimmy, had been struck and killed by an automobile.   I was still pretty raw.   I gave Liz some back ground on Jimmy and our family and the events leading up to the miraculous arrival of the letter from my father, forty years after he wrote it.   That story was captured in the multiple-award winning film The Letter, by Steve Date.

In the video, I also talk about how this website Write Me Something Beautiful  got its start.   Here’s the link to Liz’s 10 minute video.

Thank you Liz for putting together such a beautiful story, and to Allen Matkins for producing it.
